刘先明，男，汉族，湖北随州人，1983年12月生，博士，副教授，硕士生导师，现任机械工程学院副院长。

2023.12至今，长江大学机械工程学院，副教授；

2012年7月~2019年12月，中国石油集团川庆钻探工程有限公司钻采工程技术研究院，工程师、高级工程师

2002年9月~2006年7月，长江大学，机械设计制造及其自动化，本科/学士

科研方向：

石油与天然气钻井装备与技术、流体机械及工程、自动控制与智能工程。

主讲本科生课程：《石油机械》

主讲硕士研究生课程：《机械参数测试与分析技术》、《井口自动化装备及井控工艺技术》

科研工作：

科研项目：先后主持和参与各类科研项目10余项，其中国家重大专项2项，中石油集团公司科研项目6项。

获奖情况：获四川省科技进步二等奖1项，获钻探公司“科技攻关先进个人”、“科技标兵”、“优秀青年岗位能手”等荣誉称号。

论文与专利：发表论文12篇，其中SCI收录2篇，制定企业技术标准2项，申请及授权发明专利6项，实用新型专利8项。
